Bradley Cooper has put on 40 pounds for his role in Clint Eastwood’s latest directorial effort, ‘American Sniper’. The 39 year old Cooper’s was spotted coming out of a shop with his stomach bulging out from under of his T-shirt.
Bradley’s muscular biceps and pronounced pecs were not discernible under his navy blue top which he matched with army green cargo pants and a pair of black sneakers, while a baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a scruffy beard took him far away his normal appearance.
The usually well turned-out star was seen juggling a shabby jacket and multiple cell phones in one hand and a black duffel bag in the other, while his stretched top rose to expose the waistband of his underwear to present an unkempt picture.
Cooper’s been working out for the upcoming real-life drama American Sniper, in which he plays the Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, an American war hero who was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 2009 and shot to death at a Texas gun range on Feb. 2, 2013.
In an interview with E! Online, Bradley’s co-star in the movie Eric Close revealed just how hard the Oscar nominated star had been working on the image for his new role.
“He put on like 40 pounds” confirmed Close, who co-stars as a Defence Intelligence Agency agent in the film based on Kyle’s New York Times best-selling autobiography.
“He looks great. He’s really taken on this character…He really takes this story personally and wants to do an honourable job for Chris’ memory”
American Sniper – which also stars Siena Miller and Luke Grimes – is set to hit US theatres sometime in 2015.
